I am back to work on the Eastport Pram started at Brest 2008: gluing the thwarts and seats.

I raise the Pram to work inside on the joints under the seats and thwarts.

Close-up view of those joints under the middle thwart.

Opening the Shearwater 16 kit. I am going to build it for a Venetian customer!

The Pram is getting some sun (I am sanding outside as much as I can).

Preparing to glue the puzzle-joints of the Shearwater side pannels. The joints are strengthened with fiberglass tape.

Applying pressure on the glue.

We take out the Jimmy Skiff to go rowing on the river on this next to last day of summer.   The epoxy has cured and I am cutting the fiberglass on the side on the pannel.

Stitching the bottom pannels along the keel joint.

The pannels are opened like a book and I am stitching in the bulkheads (in the middle) and temporary frames.   I am starting to stitch on the side pannels.

Stitches at the bow. The copper wire stitches are passed through the pre-drilled holes...

... and then tightened.   The hull is fully stitched. Quick and easy!

The top of the forward bulkhead is rounded over to provide volume is the hull and height at the feet.

Gluing the stiffeners at both transoms on the Pram.   General view: one can compare the Pram's and the Shearwater's hull. What are the differences? I know: one is rightside up and the other is upside down!
